Straftanz

Through song and dance, we express ourselves as the members of a higher community. We have forgotten how to walk and speak; even more so, we feel exalted as we are transformed into something different. Each of our gestures betokens enchantment. Through us, sound's a supernatural power; the same power which makes the animals speak and the earth render out milk and honey. We feel ourselves to be gods, and we stride with the same elation and ecstasy as the gods we have seen in our dreams. No longer we are artists, we have become a work of art.
